Laura Daphne is an artisan jewellery brand, based in Tamaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. Laura is the creative behind Laura Daphne; a self taught silversmith who has been making jewellery since 2019. With humble beginnings Laura began designing, crafting, and running her small online shop and attending any and all markets possible around Tamaki Makaurau. Making jewellery designed with specific intentions and messages to the wearer.

 

With a background in fashion; a Bachelor of Design - Fashion Design. Laura taught herself silver smithing skills alongside her degree, to one day connect the two passions with her own jewellery & clothing collections. During her studies Laura minored in Sustainability, a fascinating paper that continues to inspire the ethos behind Laura Daphne to this day. Read more on our ethos here.

Laura paired her name with Daphne, after her Nana Daphne a dress maker in the 1950s. Laura & Daphne shared a great bond as well as many hobbies. Her dearest nana captivated her as a little girl and in her memory she now designs under Laura Daphne.​​​
